Now with a high-level approach here are some rules linked to creating an Ideal Scene.
If you missed the first steps in creating your ideal scene take a look at the post last week.
- Use specific numbered points.
- When you write each point – write it in the past tense as if it has already happened.
- Each point needs to be written in a way that you can with 100% certainty know it has been achieved. So statements like “Have a happy marriage” are too vague.
- You should be able to tick items off as you move from your current scene to your ideal scene in the future.
- Think about the perfect day in the future – it was the perfect ideal day all items on your ideal scene would be a reality
- Try to be specific with any items that are part of your ideal scene.
So for example:
Instead of saying:
- I have enough time to exercise regularly – too vague and can not be measured
Say:
- I can exercise at least 3 mornings a week for at least 1 hour for each session enabling me to maintain a high level of fitness and vitality
You can see the difference. The more specific you can be the better you can put what is needed in place to get to your ideal scene.
As you build out your Business Ideal Scene you want to be able to tick items off – one at a time until your ideal scene is indeed a reality.
The Resicert Ideal Scene was written in 2011. I can now say that majority of the items on the list are a reality. This is exactly where you want to be.
