Unfortunately many business owners see business as a short game. Get in, do whatever it takes to get it to where it needs to be as fast as possible – then reap the rewards. A quick fix. When the rewards don’t come when you expect them, then there is frustration and disappointment.
This is because you created a business for the wrong reasons.
If you play the long game and have the business set up to work for you on the journey then this is not such a drama.
This is why building your Ideal Business model is so important. This will be different for everyone – whilst the outcome may be different the approach is the same. If you develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to build your Ideal Business then you can do it again and again – leverage and replicate.
A key learning that I had in my business journey is that it takes great skill, determination, application and persistence to build a great business. To build the Ideal Business – one that truly works for you, requires an additional set of skills, knowledge and expertise. Without this you can build a great business but not necessarily your Ideal business model.
That’s what drives me is helping as many people as possible build their ideal business and getting the life they desire and deserve.
So what is the Ideal Business model? Great question.
I developed the concept of the Ideal Business Model after over 20 years in business and having worked out that the standard approach to starting, running and expanding a business are all driven, typically around financial metrics only. Typically a major focus on revenue with not the same level of focus and attention on profitability.
